The Improvement of Competitiveness by Using Lean Production System in Water Temperature Sensors Production Lines

(Case Study: Samfar Co.)

Abstract

Lean production system is a new theory on mass production and is indeed, one of the powerful and useful tools to achieve companies’ goals in maintaining competitive. For the first , this approach was introduced by E.G.Toyota and T. Ohno and it was used in Toyota Co.  The main aim of this research is The Improvement of Competitiveness by Using Lean Production System in Water Temperature Sensors  Production Lines. Since there was a suitable context to do this research in Samfar Co. it was consider by Samfar senior manager remarkably. The researcher has concluded that, a significant saving could be achieved through eliminating waste in eight production lines of the company they’ve called RD02, RD06, RD14, RD15, RD16, RD102, RD106, RD183, by reducing time, depot between product station , space and energy in process. These conclusions have obtained by redesigning the process and considering the lean production requirements.
